The Team
Rich and Liberty are long-time creative collaborators, making films together for over a decade.
They met while working for the same film production company, and went on to create dozens of films. Their creative work has spanned award-winning films screened at major international festivals, to acclaimed television documentaries.
To expand their repertoire further, they became independent freelance filmmakers and started their own production companies, working in partnership on many projects.
United by a shared passion for analogue filmmaking, they are drawn to the texture, imperfection, and emotional honesty of working on film. Co-founding STUDIO EIGHT is a natural extension of this — a space to create timeless, unobtrusive wedding films that feel less like a production and more like a memory.

FounderLiberty grew up in the last days of the darkroom, and analogue photography was her first love. She discovered Super 8 at seventeen and from there two decades of filmmaking began. With a CV that spans independent award winning Documentaries, television broadcast and a personal artistic practice with moving image - Liberty is happiest with a camera in her hand and film to get on and make!

FounderI’m drawn to the tactile, authentic nature of working with film. After years of experience as a filmmaker, I’ve grown weary of the constant digital noise. Shooting with vintage Super 8 cameras offers a creative reset. Slowing things down and making every moment feel intentional.
It allows me to capture something personal, something real. I’m excited to bring that genuine, timeless quality into wedding films that truly reflect the unique beauty of each couple’s day.
